We are partnering with an Aerospace & Defense organisation that is seeking a Quality Specialist to join their team based in Milwaukee, WI.


This position is responsible for assisting with ensuring conformance to ASA-100 and AS 9120 requirements and standards with the direction of the quality department.


Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in the upkeep of the Quality Manuals and any related papers
  • Assist in the keeping of personal training diaries and records
  • Assist the Quality Department with vendor claims and customer returns
  • Collaborate with all departments to achieve unit acceptance and release by assisting with any difficulties that arise
  • Assist the Quality Department in conducting Vendor Quality Surveys/Audits in order to obtain vendor approval
  • Assist the Quality Department in keeping track of approved vendors and their quality records
  • Assist in keeping required publications up to date
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for the quality department
  • As necessary by the quality department, keep corporate records
  • Any other items that the DOQ may assign as part of the Quality System's upkeep



Requirements:

  • Positive outlook and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelors’ degree and/or 3-5 years of comparable experience
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required
  • Understanding of the quality system and prior experience

  • Pentagon Basics
  • Export & ITAR compliance
  • Aerospace Industry Quality Training (Which includes QMS training, FAA 00 56, Traceability, 8130-3 documents, PAH’s, ESD, Suspected Unapproved Parts, Shelf Life/LLP’s, AD’s, ATA Spec 300, PMA Parts, Direct Ship Authority, Standard Terminology)
  • ESD handling
  • 90-Day Probation OJT
