THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an experienced and creative Freelance Video Editor to produce high-quality video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing and storytelling, with a great eye for composition. You will be responsible for creating engaging visual content that aligns with our brands vision and objectives, primarily serving the marketing department. Responsibilities: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that tell compelling stories and engage our target audience. Transform scripts or narratives into engaging visual content by employing smart, story-driven linear and non-linear editing techniques. Create emotionally driven edits for gameplay and cinematic trailers, putting heart and soul into each edit. Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project scope and vision. Implement creative editing techniques to enhance the visual and auditory impact of videos. Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, editing software, and best practices to continuously improve video production quality. Effectively manage multiple projects at once, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a calm, positive attitude. Oversee the organization and maintenance of video assets and libraries. Work with multi-disciplinary teams and handle high-level, fast-paced projects. Qualifications: 10 years of experience as a video editor; video game editing experience is a huge plus. Proficient in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or related software. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and composition. Excellent knowledge of color grading, sound design, and visual effects. Ability to work collaboratively and take creative direction. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Experience with producing content for various platforms, including social media, web, broadcast, and games. Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications. A robust affinity for art, design, games, music, film, and the broader contemporary cultural scene is imperative.
