Position Overview:
The Procurement Market Analyst is a strategic role focused on sourcing, analyzing, and optimizing procurement operations within the food industry. This high-level analyst will evaluate market trends, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-efficient procurement strategies that align with the company’s operational and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to inform procurement strategies.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials and services critical to the food production process.
Cost Management: Develop cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and compliance with industry standards.
Reporting: Generate detailed procurement and market analysis reports for senior management to guide decision-making.
Compliance: Ensure procurement practices meet all food safety and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics.
Shipping Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with shipping departments to track materials from vendors and ensure timely deliveries to all locations.
Inventory Management: Conduct weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts with shipping teams to establish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement or purchasing within the food industry (required).
Skills:Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
