Job Description:

The Merchandising Team Coordinator is a critical part of the Merchandising Team, reporting to the Manager, Field Merchandising and partnering with the VP and GM of Retail Operations. In this role you will be responsible for visiting stores to review execution of layouts, planograms, and overall merchandising guidelines and directives. You will work closely with the operations, category and vendor teams to maximize sales and profits through the improved execution of directives and programs. We offer a flexible work environment. This means working up to 3 days a week remotely in the field and the rest of the time in the office. The position will be remote reporting into the Waltham office. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel as needed to our stores in the region and offer support for projects on an ad hoc basis. Willing to travel up to 25% or more required.

The Types of ‘Energy‘ You Bring

‘Gauges‘ of Responsibility

  • Capture detailed measurements and create accurate drawing for stores.
  • Assess customer flow and layout of stores.
  • Leverage software to translate and capture digital drawings.
  • Validation of displays, layout, and planograms.
  • Constant communication via Merchandising/ Category Management teams and the operation team to address opportunities and create best store experience.
  • Become a pillar of support to the Store Managers for any and all merchandising questions and concerns.
  • Support in large resets, new store set-ups and any other special projects.
  • Team Support
  • This role works closely with Category Managers, Vendors & the Retail Space Team to address store specific opportunities.
  • Research and source local vendors and products for new stores in different geographies.
  • As priorities arise, the Merchandising Team Coordinator will have to redirect tasks and be flexible to changes in their schedule.
  • Overnight travel may be required at times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor‘s degree in business, retail merchandising, or equivalent work experience
  • Retail Operation experience required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Comfortable making public presentations
  • Self-motivated and able to function well in an ambiguous environment where functional direction at times may be undetermined
  • Must have a valid driver‘s license
