HousekeeperSchedule Sunday & Saturday 9pm-7:30am with rotating HolidaysSupports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: Excellence in maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, and attractive environment, throughout all hospital departments, patient areas, and all support areas, including hospital controlled areas. NoEssential FunctionsPhysical Demands: Responsibilities of a housekeeper require physical demands; ability to stand for long periods of time, bending and stooping and lifting.Performs the 8 steps cleaning procedures, daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, wall spotting, toilet cleaning, high and low dusting, O.R. terminal cleaning.Works in a professional and safe manner.Always uses caution signs and cones.Completes work from previous shift if needed, reports all incomplete assignment and maintenance issues.Cleans up all organic body waste, i.e. blood and body fluids, feces, sputum etc. as instructed by the supervisor or team leader.Hangs cubical curtains, shower curtains, and window curtains.Up on discharge cleaning, disinfect and/or sanitize I.V. poles, pumps and other patient equipment.Ability to learn and to demonstrate new procedures related to the health care industry.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
