Construction General Manager

Established General Contractor is seeking a Construction General Manager to manage and oversee all aspects of construction and related day-to-day business of the company. This position work closely with the Owner to run and oversee all day-to-day responsibilities for the company to include but not limited to pre-construction services, design, engineering, estimating, and management of field Superintendents and Labor force for construction to final completion. Qualified candidates will have a track record demonstrating a complete understanding of both office and field management including construction accounting, estimating, customer relations, contract management, scheduling and establishing and maintaining budgets with emphasis on quality results. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Decision making capabilities for all aspects of running a construction company 

• Project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure 

• Managing company and employee resources and workflow 

Experience and skills required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Project Management preferred.

• Minimum 15 years construction experience

• Minimum of 10 years experience in estimating and project management 

• Excellent people, communication and negotiating skills 

• Knowledge of Construction codes and methods 

• Knowledge of Permitting Process

• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write contracts 

• Experienced in writing detailed scope proposals 

• Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Scheduling and Sage or other construction management software.

• Independent and self-motivated with positive attitude and interpersonal skills

• Problem Solver

• Excellent Organizational skills
