Our client is looking for a Quality Welding Inspector to join their team in Waukesha, WI. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity


Shift: 2nd shift; 2pm-10pm


Pay: Up to $34/hr.


About Us:

We are a leading provider in the industry, committed to excellence and innovation. As a Quality Welding Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality and precision.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform comprehensive layout inspections using precision instruments.
  • Conduct various inspections including structural steel, weld, and NDE inspections.
  • Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections.


Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in blueprint interpretation.
  • Strong mathematical skills including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to plant production schedules.
  • Experience using measuring instruments and computers.


Qualifications:

  • Technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of technical experience.
  • Proficiency in CMM operation and programming is advantageous.
  • Level II qualification in at least three Nondestructive testing methods (PT, MT, VT, UT).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver’s license for occasional travel to vendor locations.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have good vision and manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable with prolonged standing and reaching.
