FDOT Superintendent

Essential Job Functions:

The following are typical duties for this position. These are not to be considered exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required.

The superintendent will frequently oversee production on tasks and scopes based on expertise and education.

• Lead crews in everyday operations.
• General Knowledge of FDOT specifications
• Set example for company safety culture.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Mentor and teach subordinates.
• Professionally represent the company.

Requirements

• Interpersonal competencies that include a drive for results, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, being dependable and cooperation. Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to multitask
• Understand and have general knowledge of roadway and utility construction
• High level of skill on plan reading and comprehension along with understanding project specifications
• MOT Certification and SWPP Certification preferred
