Our ex vivo platform enables drug developers and providers to move forward with confidence.


We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. This position will be responsible for coordinating closely with the R&D team to provide operational support for ongoing client research studies. Key responsibilities will include coordination and planning with Xsphera’s vendors, hospital sites, and clients to recruit patient biospecimens, and ensure that all resources are available to efficiently execute pre-clinical drug studies using Xsphera’s ex vivo platform. The position is a hybrid, work-from-home and on-site at our Boston, MA laboratory.


 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Support lab staff with all domestic and international shipping tasks
  • Maintain inventory of common lab supplies and order additional supplies when needed
  • Ensure all Xsphera hospital sites have adequate stock of sample shipping and media supplies
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to review active studies and priorities
  • Communicate with network of hospital sites to accept or reject offering of fresh tissue samples based on active research project requirements
  • Track and coordinate receipt and documentation of incoming sample deliveries
  • Manage upload and logging of all sample documents including pathology reports and patient data
  • Coordinate with R&D team to receive all materials from clients for initiation of Studies
  • Assist with recording of samples and drugs in ELN and Xsphera’s Cloud platform
  • Assist with wet-lab work to perform sample imaging with fluorescent microscopy
  • Assist with lab organization and maintenance, including removal of excess boxes


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences field with 2+ years experience in academic or industry laboratory setting required
  • Ability to understand experimental design and ex vivo assays
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong follow-up and time management skills with ability to effectively multi-task and a willingness to perform a wide range of tasks.
  • Technical aptitude for information technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and propose solutions relating to lab organization and management
