General Summary Operates Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) commercial motor vehicles to deliver fuel products to customers. Strictly adheres to government regulations and SSC operating procedures while working independently. Products and load type vary based on location and may include heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, and/or liquid propane. May install and maintain related equipment at customer site. Essential Job Functions Maintain regular communication with facility leadership regarding delivery dispatching, installation and service of fuel products and equipment. Effectively operate SSC commercial motor vehicles carrying fuel products, including heating oil, kerosene, diesel, and/or gasoline. Load supply of fuel for delivery according to standard operating procedures. Provide safe, reliable and prompt delivery to customers according to work orders and account service plans. Represent SSC in a positive manner through professional and courteous communication with customers and suppliers. Depending upon location, perform on-site installation of fuel equipment for new customers. Properly utilize and maintain equipment and vehicles. Maintain daily truck reports, logs, vehicle and equipment maintenance records and other related documents accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with taking physical inventory of fuel products. Participate in specialized training, certification courses, and/or meetings as requested. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform work safely as to not cause harm to yourself, customers and property, co-workers, equipment, or inventory. Perform all other job functions as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Requires a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). GRADE 424 Experience: Prefer previous experience operating a commercial motor vehicle to deliver fuel products or experience maintaining related equipment. Requires Commercial Driver's License (Class C or Class B), Hazardous Materials Endorsement, and may require Tanker Endorsement. GRADE 426 Experience: Requires minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Petroleum Driver role or equivalent. Requirements: This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform essential job functions and mandatory compliance with the SSC motor vehicle safety policy. Work Environment: Performs essential job functions while driving a commercial motor vehicle, working outdoors and in a warehouse environment. Physical Activities & Requirements: This role requires continuous physical activity to perform essential job functions for the duration of the shift. Tools & Equipment: Hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, face shield, front end loader, forklift, handcart, and commercial motor vehicles. J-18808-Ljbffr
