RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install and maintain electrical systems of up to 480V.
  • Plan installation from sketches and diagrams.
  • Follow general instructions from leadership and occasionally draft original sketches.
  • Install and test a variety of complex equipment.
  • Test electric and electronic devices for performance.
  • Repair motors and other electrical equipment.
  • Maintain electrical equipment.
  • Trace electrical circuits and make necessary repairs.
  • Install electrical conduits.
  • Direct work of other electricians and staff.
  • Occasionally make pull boxes and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot automated machines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • A state indentured electrician apprenticeship is required.
  • A master electrician’s license or journeyman’s maintenance electrician card is required.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and ability to work from schematic drawings.
  • Understanding of test equipment and when specific tools are appropriate.
  • Knowledge of AC&DC current.
  • Knowledge of electronic controls.
