Hazelwood Healthcare is currently hiring for the position of Registered Nurse for our Opioid Treatment Program in Franklin, NC. We are looking for someone able to provide competent and compassionate care to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. You would become a vital member of our team focused on delivering medically sound care in a true recovery-oriented environment.


The Registered Nurse holds a critical role in the operations of the program: - developing therapeutic relationships with people in care, assessing their progress and response to care over time; Working closely with medical providers in carrying out medication orders for methadone and buprenorphine accurately and safely, both for on-site dosing and preparation of take-home medications; participation in treatment team meetings and case discussions; maintaining timely and accurate chart records, performing health assessments, providing relevant education for those in care as well as staff members, communicating effectively with other health care providers in the community. Duties also include medication inventory, collecting specimens for onsite and offsite laboratory testing, and providing intervention in crisis management situations, assisting in distributing narcan sample supplies for overdose reversal, and providing training on its use.


Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; Active North Carolina RN License.

Organizational skills, detail orientation, and competence in the use of computers and electronic medical records.

Previous experience working with individuals with substance use disorders is preferred.

Previous experience in an Opioid Treatment Program or substance use disorder/mental health care facility is preferred but not required.

Job Type: We will consider 24 hrs/wk to Full Time work. Work shifts on weekdays are 5:30 am - 1:30 pm, and on Saturdays 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Pay Range: $30 - $34 per hour based on qualifications and relevant experience

We offer a monthly stipend to help with health insurance premium costs for employees who maintain health insurance through the ACA marketplace or other private plans, or coverage through a family member's plan.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
