Industrial Electrician - Manufacturing/ProductionPactiv Evergreen is seeking a self-motivated, skilled Electrician to join the Maintenance Department at our manufacturing facility in Bedford Park, IL. Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of relevant experience and have the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment & components including electrical, mechanical, and/or electronic with minimum supervision or assistance.Compensation: $37.31 - $47.97 - Paid Weekly ($1 - Shift Differential)Incentives:Pay: competitive starting pay rate based on experience and qualificationsBenefits: eligible for benefits package starting on day one of employment (see further details below)Opportunity: career growth and promotions from within, annual & skills-based wage increases*Add extra money in your pocket by referring friends and familyAvailable Shifts:Nights 7pm to 7am12-hour shifts with EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF2-2-3 rotating scheduleBenefits:Medical, Dental, VisionPrescription drug coverage401K with a company matchNew Hire Wellness Bonus (see plan details)Healthcare and Dependent day care flexible spending accountsCorporate discountsResponsibilitiesEssential Duties And Responsibilities:Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Repair or replace wiring and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.Test electrical system and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the systems. Basic computer skills with Microsoft windows operating environment for internet based work order system.Job Knowledge:Troubleshooting skills with High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase and 500 volts D-C and Low-Voltage control circuitsTest equipment operation including Digital multi-meters and Amp metersSchematic reading and basic electrical symbol identification, including ability to interpret specificationsElectrical theory including basic /OHMs law applicationBasic mechanical skills with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsExperience with AC/DC Drives and PLC's in a manufacturing facilityQualificationsQualifications:5 years of High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase power and 500 volt D-C, AC/DC Drives and PLC's in a manufacturing facility.Electrical theory including basic ohms-law application with a wide range of technical and mechanical knowledge and skills, as well as basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems.Pactiv Evergreen is now a part of Novolex.
