Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA‘s core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

The intern will support MPT to develop the global structure to successfully support the upcoming product projects especially in Battery and HDEP engine. They will be working closely with the German MPT teams and. E4 Engineering in Detroit as well as quality management in Detroit

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Collaborate with the Global Material and Process Technology Governance and Management teams to drive department projects intended to develop and strengthen culture and increase operational excellence.
  • Support various planned global powertrain product project teams via departmental and cross-functional project meetings. Driving ideation and tracking of project deliverables.
  • Develop and implement collaboration models with various business partners (Research and Development, Quality Management, etc.. ) to coordinate Material and Process Technologies support.
  • Develop training materials to educate business partners on Material Process Technology topics.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor‘s or Master‘s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months.
  • Engineering background, material sciencepreferred
  • Project management basics
  • Flexibility to work across time zones
  • Basic German would be helpful
  • Good Office365 skills
  • Ability to summarize meeting results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Creative mindset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Schedule Type:
