Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize the utilization, maintenance, and efficiency of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of fleet assets, including vehicles, machinery, and specialized equipment.
  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the safety, reliability, and longevity of fleet assets.
  • Monitor fleet operations to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and technological advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements governing fleet operations, including licensing, registration, emissions standards, and safety regulations.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to fleet operations, including driver safety, vehicle usage, fuel management, and accident reporting.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of fleet technicians, drivers, and administrative staff to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, including key metrics such as utilization rates, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and compliance status.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, finance, and safety, to support overall business objectives and initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in the utility or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
