Position Overview: The Human Resources and Payroll Clerk will play a vital role in supporting our HR and payroll functions. This position requires a meticulous individual who can handle confidential information with integrity and who excels in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy in all HR and payroll activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain employee records, including personal data, attendance, and leave balances.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, tax documents, and other related materials.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects, including employee engagement and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration, human resources, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing and/or human resources.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual/Spanish/English ++
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and payroll regulations is a plus.
