Team Leader Final QC

The Team Leader Final QC ensuresefficient and effective running of Finals in a highly productive and qualitydriven manner.

Our Quality department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a Team Leader Final QC.

Key Tasks

ENSURES EFFICIENT FLOW OF FINAL QUALITYDEPARTMENT BY:
Managing workflow of products entering the final inspectionarea, developing work schedules, recommending appropriate staffing levels,assisting in the coordination of daily activities with a focus on quality andon-time delivery, enforcing organizational standards and evaluating/analyzingquality reports, relaying the information to the appropriate resource, andworking to resolve department related quality issues.

MAINTAINS INVENTORYPACKAGING STAFF JOB RESULTS BY:
Monitoring steps of the process; setting processingvariables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel andresources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reportingprocedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within processcontrol points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within andbetween departments.

Metric tracking, developing work schedules,coordinating daily activities, developing, and revising work instructions andstandard procedures, addressing employee conduct and rule infractions, andensuring all processes comply with established standards.

Maintains quality service by:
Working with manager to ensure all processes complywith established standards, providing feedback on employee performance, keepingerror rates minimal and within acceptable ranges, maintaining an efficient workpace, meeting, and exceeding all performance measurements for quantity,accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.
provides communication support by:
Communicating across departments to alllevels of management and staff relative information pertaining to departmentresources and product quality.

resolves personnel problems by:
Investigating issues; identifying solutions;recommending/taking actions in a timely manner.

optimizes productivity by:
Suggesting continuousimprovement activities through problem solving driven by data analysis; suggesting and implementingcost-saving ideas.

SUPPORTS Operations By:
Acting as a ‘floater‘ when needed toeliminate bottlenecks, helping department by operating various equipment (e.g.vision inspection equipment, flow meters, etc.), resolving issues and answerquestions related to various techniques, processes, work orders and job, ensuringdepartmental issues are handled in a timely manner, assisting with root cause analysis andimplementation of corrective actions.

TeamLeader should be trained in all positions and highly knowledgeable about allpositions in Finals. This will help give the TL the knowledge needed toeffectively support operations.

accomplishes employee training objectives by:
Recruiting,selecting, training and orienting employees; identifying training needs, ensuring proper training is provided andskill check sheets are properly documented for all staff employees, orientingnew employees.

Your Background

  • HighSchool diploma or GED plus three years related experience and/or training, orequivalent company experience.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience stronglypreferred.
  • Printers, pallet jack, measurement equipment (rulers, gauges, etc.); scanner,computer, general office equipment
  • Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers oremployees of the organization
