Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and regularly update a thorough cyber security strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Lead and continuously improve the Cyber Security Operations Center, ensuring proactive monitoring, threat detection, and swift responses.
  • Perform detailed Cyber Security Vulnerability Assessments for all operational areas, including both ship and shoreside facilities.
  • Develop and enforce strong cyber security policies, standards, and procedures across the company.

  • Advise senior management on cyber security trends, best practices, and emerging threats to inform strategic decisions.
  • Integrate cyber security considerations into the development and deployment of new technologies and systems.

  • Promote a company-wide cyber security awareness program, educating employees on security best practices and threat avoidance.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for the cybersecurity department to ensure optimal use of funds.
  • Mentor and develop a team of cyber security professionals, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in cyber security, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing cyber security operations and strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of current cyber security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • In-depth understanding of network security and networking technologies.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
  • Experience in evaluating new technologies and processes to enhance security capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
