Employee Focused.JOB SUMMARYJob Profile SummaryPerforms an advanced level of activities involved in the design and maintenance of corrosion control systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide advanced level of support with installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systemsNon-Destructive Testing on facilitiesInstall, test, adjust, and/or repair rectifiers, anodes, and test pointsTroubleshoot and repair interference/foreign contact problemsPerform continuity tests and soil resistivity surveys and other special surveysInspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair cathodic protection tools and equipmentDrive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehiclesComplete and/or update reports and documents including but not limited to:Test readingsAtlas pages, maps, plats, and diagramsJob orders and completion reportsEquipment maintenance reportsCompile, verify, and/or prepare financial information including, but not limited to:Forecasted versus actual expensesGovernmental/regulatory reportsFinancial reportsReconciliation reportsMeasure internal, external and atmospheric corrosion per industry standardsResponsible for conducting environmental activities as specified by positionResponsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.EDUCATIONNone Required.WORK EXPERIENCE3 - 5 years related work experience in corrosion controlExperience and training relative to:Company and governmental operating/safety proceduresConstruction and maintenance activitiesLocating linesOne Call System policies and proceduresExperience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of cathodic protection tools and equipmentExperience with facility/system operationsExperience working with pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgyExperience reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures, survey results, plats, atlas pages, rectifier reports, and applicable operation and repair manualsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to: apply basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructionsAbility to: work in confined areas and on elevated surfacesAbility to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.Ability to: operate tools and equipment as required.Ability to: drive for extended periodsLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSNACE Cathodic Protection Certification/Corrosion Certification preferredSTRENGTH FACTOR RATING - PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTSHeavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
