Accounting ManagerOur client is a $500M food manufacturer that is still rapidly growing as the team continues to take over their market share. The Accounting Manager will oversee month-end close, approvals for all journal entries and financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting and finance.Job DescriptionManage the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations.Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings effectively.Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and development.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.Support cross-departmental initiatives by providing financial expertise and analysis.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
