The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting IT and OT networks across multiple sites (70% IT, 30% OT). This includes configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, backups, security, patching, server applications, and infrastructure in both IT and OT environments. The role also involves monitoring security dashboards, managing IT projects, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Server and Infrastructure Management: Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, infrastructure, backups, security, patching, applications, and connectivity for IT environments.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network, server, application, and endpoint issues in IT environments.
  • Security Monitoring and Response: Monitor security dashboards, respond to security alerts, and communicate security status to the supervisor. Perform risk assessments and implement safeguards in IT and OT environments. Review penetration testing reports and execute action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Network Configuration: Configure networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Cloud Environment Management: Assist with managing the Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Project Management: Manage IT/OT convergence and integration projects.
  • Asset and License Management: Track assets, licenses, and warranties of IT hardware and software.
  • Vendor and Contractor Liaison: Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other IT groups as needed.
  • Policy and Documentation Development: Develop and document IT policies, standards, and procedures. Create and maintain IT/OT network layout and procedural documentation.
  • Cross-Training and Teamwork: Engage in cross-training with department teammates.
  • Travel: Travel to remote business sites may be required to address complex problems.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: A 2-year college degree is required; a 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of combined hands-on IT and security experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with common IT protocols, hardware, and software. Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware, and SCADA/ICS systems.
  • Security Standards: Knowledge of IT network security standards and best practices.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to research and resolve unfamiliar network and server-related issues.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with OT infrastructure is a plus.

This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and performance of IT and OT networks, ensuring smooth operations, and safeguarding against security threats. The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and departments.
