Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations and provide strategic guidance for our manufacturing facility in the Manitowoc area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with previous experience in manufacturing environments. As the Plant Controller, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the achievement of company goals and objectives.


Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for the plant.
  2. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  3. Provide financial guidance and support to plant management and department heads.
  4. Analyze manufacturing costs and variances to identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  6. Lead the annual budgeting and planning process for the plant.
  7. Collaborate with corporate finance team to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management.
  9. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for capital investments and strategic initiatives.
  10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
  4. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
