The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Data and AI Platform Activation Senior Manager to join the team in Seattle, WA; Arlington, VA; Chicago, IL; El Segundo, CA; Englewood, CO; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; or Plano, TX.Boeing is accelerating its data-driven transformation by building scalable data pipelines, innovative data products, and robust platforms that empower business insights and operational excellence. As a pivotal leader in this transformation, the Data and AI Platform Activation Senior Manager will partner with leaders from Information Technology (IT) and Business Units (BUs) to drive the strategic vision and enterprise-wide activation of Data and AI platform capabilities.This role is accountable for translating platform development into measurable business value by partnering closely with IT, business units, and executive leadership to align Data and AI capabilities with evolving business imperatives. You will lead the end-to-end activation lifecycle from align BU strategy, priority and solution discovery, through training, demos, and change management to ensure seamless onboarding and sustained adoption across global business units. Serving as a trusted advisor and communicator, you will orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, manage the platform capability backlog, and oversee the progress of development, onboarding and value realization. By fostering innovation, upskilling talent, and driving clear, transparent communication, you will enable Boeing to unlock new business value and maintain competitive advantage through modern Data and AI solutions.Position Responsibilities:Partner with IT, business units, and executive leadership to ensure Data and AI platform capabilities are tightly aligned with evolving business strategies and prioritiesOwn the end-to-end activation lifecycle, including sales engineering, solution discovery, training, demos, change management, and user onboarding to maximize platform adoption and business impactManage and prioritize the platform capability backlog, balancing business needs, technical feasibility, and resource allocation to deliver high-value solutions efficientlyOrchestrate collaboration across architecture, product management, data science, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of Data and AI platform capabilitiesDevelop and execute change management strategies, including upskilling programs and community engagement, to empower users and foster a data-driven cultureDefine and track KPIs related to platform usage, adoption, and business value; provide transparent, actionable insights to executive stakeholdersCollaborate with governance and security teams to embed data quality, privacy, and compliance standards into platform activation activitiesChampion emerging technologies and best practices such as Data Mesh, generative AI, and MLOps to continuously evolve platform capabilities and maintain Boeing's competitive edgeBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higher10+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related roles7+ years of experience in data platform activation, product management, or related roles focused on enterprise technology adoption and change management5+ years of experience in MLOPS, DEVOPS, data engineering, cloud data platform development such as AWS (Preferred), Azure or GCP5+ years of experience working with executives developing Data and AI strategy3+ years of experience leading and delivering AI solutions3+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide activation and adoption of complex Data and AI platforms or technology solutions in large, matrixed organizations3+ years of experience in business acumen with the ability to translate technical platform capabilities into measurable business value and strategic outcomesExperience managing and prioritizing capability backlogs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and overseeing PMO activities to ensure timely delivery and value realizationExperience in driving change management, user onboarding, training, and enablement programs that accelerate adoption and foster a data-driven cultureExperience engaging senior executives and diverse business unitsExperience working in agile, cross-functional environments and collaborating with architecture, IT, data science, and product teamsExperience with data governance, security, compliance, and ethical AI frameworksExperience in implementing modern data technologies such as data fabric, data virtualization, data mesh, and ontology/knowledge graphPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Masters degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with emerging technologies such as data fabric, data virtualization, data mesh, ontology/knowledge graph and hybrid cloud data ecosystemsExperience in developing and executing training, marketing, and community engagement programs to drive technology adoptionExperience building and leading geographically distributed, high-performing teams focused on platform enablement and user successExperience fostering innovation and continuous improvement in data and AI platform environmentsDrug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
