This role offers exceptional autonomy to build, shape, and lead a high-performing sales organization.The ideal candidate will bring proven sales leadership in perishables, understand cold chain logistics, and be ready to take ownership of a team that includes seasoned sales representatives and customer service staff.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & StrategyLead the sales team in executing business development strategies in the fresh produce marketDevelop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize territory potentialIdentify and secure new accounts across wholesale, retail, and foodservice sectorsAnalyze market trends and customer needs to develop competitive pricing strategiesMonitor key metrics including sales volume, profit margins, and customer satisfactionOperations & Customer RelationsIntegrate closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure product quality and delivery excellenceImprove quality checks and strengthen customer touchpointsManage contracts, negotiations, and credit terms with key accountsMaintain and grow relationships with existing customers while developing new businessRepresent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetingsReporting & CompliancePrepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior leadershipEnsure compliance with food safety and handling regulationsCollaborate with procurement teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveryTeam Management & DevelopmentManage sales representatives and customer service staffConduct management meetings to drive accountability and performanceTrain, mentor, and evaluate sales team members to maximize effectiveness
