Head of Human Resources, North America

The Head of Human Resources, North America, is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the HR function across Novocure‘s largest commercial market. Based in our new flagship building in Portsmouth, NH, this role oversees the strategic and operational HR needs for the North American region, ensuring alignment with both regional growth objectives and our global HR vision. As a key member of the Global HR Leadership Team (HRLT) and reporting directly to the CHRO, the Head of HR, North America, will partner closely with senior stakeholders to build and execute impactful HR strategies that support Novocure‘s ambitious growth agenda and reinforce a dynamic, people-first culture.This role is ideal for a HR leader with a strong operational background who thrives in a global context and is passionate about developing a collaborative, high-performance HR team while support the strategic direction of the Novocure‘s North American operations.

North America serves as our commercial hub, making this HR leadership role instrumental in shaping the people strategies that drive our mission and commercial success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and execution of the North American HR strategy, aligning with Novocure‘s overall business goals and global HR objectives.
  • Provide leadership in key HR areas, including total rewards and payroll. talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and workforce planning, ensuring excellence and compliance across all HR services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, actively managing and supporting high-level stakeholders across functions to achieve both local and global business goals.
  • Oversee the operational effectiveness of the HR function, including payroll, and total rewards,
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of the North American HR team, fostering a high-performance culture and enabling the team to deliver outstanding, value-driven support.
  • Champion Novocure‘s employee value proposition, enhancing talent attraction and retention efforts in alignment with our mission and values.
  • Work collaboratively with global HR teams to implement and adapt global HR initiatives for the North American market, contributing insights on regional requirements and opportunities.
  • Establish clear metrics and KPIs to assess HR program effectiveness, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in Human Resources, with a solid foundation across all HR functions, including talent management, payroll, total rewards, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Proven experience leading HR within a commercial or operational hub, ideally within the Pharma, MedTech, or related sectors.
  • Strong track record of building and leading HR teams in a high-growth environment, with experience in developing high-performing, agile HR functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in partnering with senior leadership, with a history of effectively managing and influencing stakeholders across regional and global markets.
  • Thorough understanding of North American HR practices, including regulatory compliance, compensation, and benefits.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
