Sponsor And Leverage Finance Underwriting Product SpecialistAt Regions, the Sponsor and Leverage Finance Underwriting Product Specialist conducts screening, underwriting, negotiation, and documentation of leveraged sponsor transactions. This role will function to enhance the sponsor lending experience while serving as a dedicated point of contact for coverage partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesCompletes end-to-end underwriting and execution for complex sponsor transactionsExecutes efficient and extensive due diligence and credit screening of sponsor financing opportunitiesConducts structuring, underwriting, negotiation, closing, and documentation of transactionsOwns communication to coverage and credit risk partnersEnsures effective portfolio management as loans transition to Corporate or Commercial underwriting teams post closeUtilizes market knowledge of leveraged loan pricing, structuring, and sponsor driven financing solutionsAligns private equity clients' needs with Regions risk appetite, while ensuring competitive positioning and disciplined client selectivityMentors analyst and associate team members in Sponsor Leveraged UnderwritingRequirementsBachelor's degree in related fieldSeven (7) years of underwriting experience in Leverage Finance and/or Corporate FinancePreferencesDeal experience in underwriting and screening sponsor transactions including structuring, negotiation, and legal documentationCompletion of a major corporate credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience)Familiarity with following loan policy frameworks of a traditional bank or similar financial institutionSkills and CompetenciesDemonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDisplays ability to identify and voice issuesWell organized, detail-oriented, and can manage evaluating multiple, time sensitive projects under pressureWorks collaboratively with multiple stakeholdersFull timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.Job Range Target:Minimum: $164,335.00 USDMedian: $195,878.00 USDIncentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan.
