We are looking to hire people with any of these specialties: Business Tax Individual Tax (Including reviewing and signing returns) State and Local Tax High Net Worth Tax Who You Are: You are a licensed CPA with deep knowledge of tax strategies with and at least 10 years of experience. You are a technical expert who enjoys helping clients and sharing knowledge with your co-workers when you encounter a unique situation that requires you to research and develop a solution. You are looking to advance to a Principal and help grow your firm. Responsibilities: Apply technical expertise to review increasingly complex tax returns to support team members in meeting client expectations Engage in tax planning, business planning, and consulting by analyzing proposed transactions and determining tax risk and benefits Undertake tax research of authoritative and non-authoritative sources using a variety of research platforms Use experience and expertise to provide thought leadership and meaningful recommendations for a broad scope of complicated issues Scope, plan, and manage assignments, leveraging resources for maximum profitability Share and transfer knowledge with team members and develop a network of resources within the firm to facilitate the sharing of this information Provide Senior Associates and Managers with guidance, coaching, and support in career development and area of specialty Advise and coach Managers on creating and maintaining effective and motivated team environments Support the Principal team in developing, driving, and participating in initiatives to recruit talented people by identifying resource requirements, participating in career and recruitment forums, conducting interviews, providing time to speak with potential candidates at career forums, and keeping in touch with candidates Develop long-term relationships with clients based on ability to add value - advising, supporting, and coaching the client Identify client decision triggers and criteria and integrate these into the proposal process Apply knowledge of the firm's services, systems, and processes to identify the most appropriate sales opportunities with clients and refer them to specialists and divisions within the firm Support the Principal team in generating and pursuing new business opportunities and, mindful of the prevailing business environment and the opportunities it may create for consulting opportunities Write and publish articles with the research and assistance of Associates and Senior Associates Required Skills: Thorough knowledge of relevant professional standards, emerging laws and regulations, and corporate governance requirements Ability to present ideas with confidence and act as a subject matter expert, communicating concepts to clients and staff clearly and concisely Excellent management, team building and organizational skills Successful management of multiple responsibilities in the face of competing priorities Strong sense of ownership and personal accountability Produce high-quality work under deadlines Particular attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Qualifications: CPA required 10+ years of related experience DHJJ Perks: Remote/hybrid work options Dress for your day Flexible schedules Referral bonuses for new hires and new clients Benefits: Group health insurance offered through BCBS (Health & Dental), VSP (Vision), HealthEquity (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA) Employer-paid Long- and Short-Term Disability Paid parental leave Group life insurance through AICPA 10 1/2 paid holidays per year PTO policy starting at 15 days per year 401(k) Profit-Sharing Plan with discretionary 3% employer contribution Paid society memberships, training, and continuing education Eligible for discretionary bonuses based on productivity, performance, and other contributions to the firm
