Focus of work: In support of an increasingly diverse portfolio of assets (e.g., commercial buildings, home building, multi-family units, planned communities), being a real estate generalist is valued. You will assume responsibility for and/or work as part of a team on acquisitions (e.g., land, lots, and investment properties), leasing (primarily retail), and finance matters. Exposure to development, HOA issues, and Fannie Mae and HUD-insured financing is a plus.


Department: Two seasoned attorneys, a senior paralegal, a junior paralegal, a senior legal administrator, and an administrative assistant.


Compensation: Market competitive for in-house.


Appeal of this position: Access to a highly diverse mix of work and a supportive practice environment committed to the long term development and continued training of its people. Management values the role of the OGC and has opportunities in place for attorneys, among others, to participate in deal identification and closure. The GC expects that these junior lawyers will grow to assume the lead on real estate deals. *Rare opportunity for a recent grad or junior real estate associate to transition in-house with an established and stable developer that is focused on building its next generation of corporate leadership.
