Senior Manager Product Marketing, Specialty Alloys


Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing – Filler Metals, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for the growth and profitability of ~$140M product line for the North American region. Managing Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Low-alloy carbon steel-based filler metal products.


Primary Duties:

  • Own assigned business line to deliver end-to-end growth and profitability including driving both strategic and tactical pricing.
  • Identify and deploy strategies for the existing offerings while managing their product lifecycle.
  • Define target segments to pursue. Map needs for these segments and, in collaboration with global product marketing and engineering, translate these needs into offerings and services roadmaps.
  • Update marketing material and collaterals to clearly demonstrate ESAB’s value proposition for target segments while illustrating the solution approach for these segments.
  • Work with regional sales teams to implement an effective commercial strategy to drive sales revenue in these segments including participating in customer visits.
  • Collaborate with marketing communication to innovate ways to reach and deliver the value proposition message to target customers.
  • Recommend solutions to customers as a subject matter expert in welding specialty alloys.
  • Define and grow alternate channels to market.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and other stakeholders to make delivery, quality, and servicing performance a key competitive differentiator.
  • Provide related training to sales, field marketing and channel partners.

Qualifications:

  • MBA or related comparable education, 5+ years’ experience in product management, marketing, or sales roles.
  • Experience with stainless steel alloys within the fabrication industry.
  • Engineering degree in Welding, Metallurgy, Mechanical or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Travel up to 30% (US, Canada and Mexico).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA, now and in the future. Sponsorship/transfer is not available for this role.
