Behavioral Health Technician

Position Summary:The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a crucial role in supporting the clinical team by assisting in patient care, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and ensuring patients adhere to program schedules. The BHT is responsible for supervising patient activities, facilitating recovery meetings, and assisting with transportation. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to manage stress effectively in a dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:* Assist in patient care, including conducting luggage and body searches.* Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.* Maintain awareness of patient locations and ensure adherence to the Bradford Program Schedule.* Supervise and facilitate patient activities and ensure timely medication administration.* Assist counselors and nurses as needed, and engage in appropriate documentation.* Drive patients to and from appointments and outings, and handle other transportation tasks as directed.* Maintain professionalism and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.* Other Duties as assigned.Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science preferred; one year of experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact preferred.* Valid driver's license and good driving record with ability to obtain F endorsement within 30 days.* Ability to administer CPR and be certified.* Strong communication skills and understanding of chemical dependency recovery principles.* Physical and emotional capability to handle stressful situations and work in a constant state of alertness.Days and Nights available Learn More
