This role has responsibility for coordinating with various departments to collect financial information and provide reports to senior management and assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast and related reporting. This role requires an analytical thinker with the ability to work on complex financial models and provide actionable recommendations.About Space & Sensors: L3Harris Space & Sensors Division, headquartered in Mason, Ohio, designs, develops, and manufactures complex systems (electronic, avionics, transceivers, transmitters, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical) for the defense, aerospace, and commercial markets. Focused on fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where employees can grow and develop professionally, employees can get engaged with several Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), participate in monthly activities hosted by our Employee Engagement Committee or get involved with volunteer opportunities through our L3Harris Investing for Tomorrow community program.Essential FunctionsDevelop and maintain financial models to support decision-making regarding planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement.Coordinate with various departments to collect financial information and provide reports to senior management.Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.Support the FP&A Manager with ad-hoc analysis and special projects.Assist in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning processes.Develop financial presentations for management and stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Must have intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office skills, including 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel focusing on pivots, vlookups, macros and other features.5+ years of experience with budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting and reporting to include variance explanations.Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Proficient in financial modeling techniques and spreadsheet creation.Demonstrated strong analytical and data gathering skills.Due to site requirements, must be a United States Citizen.Preferred Additional SkillsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major preferred1+ years of experience with Program FinanceExperience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion PlanningExceptional organizational skills, enabling monitoring of key due dates and activities and a flexible planner in terms of daily activities with ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritiesStrong customer service approach, self-directed, assertive, with a positive attitudeAbility to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, at all levels of the organization
