The Senior Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with large, strategically significant clients. This role involves managing multiple accounts, understanding the specifics of logistics and trucking, and leading client-focused initiatives.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Client Management: Maintain a strong relationship with key clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored logistics solutions.
  2. Business Development: Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts by up-selling and cross-selling.
  3. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of sales campaigns and initiatives.
  4. Problem Resolution: Act as the primary interface for all project issues that clients may experience, ensuring that effective solutions and communications are provided swiftly.
  5. Reporting and Analytics: Ensure timely use of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, monitor account performance metrics, and prepare reports for management on account status and performance.
  6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with operations, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure client needs are met and projects are profitable.
  7. Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and account management, preferably in the logistics or trucking industry.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
