The Blackburn Group, parent company to Blackburn Construction, is also parent company to Blackburn Communities, a multi-family development and management company that expertly designs, builds, and renovates modern communities including market rate apartments, townhomes, single-family rentals, and student housing developments. Blackburn Construction has added numerous multi-family projects to Blackburn Communities’ repertoire.


Responsibilities for a Lead Multifamily Superintendent with Blackburn Construction include, but are not limited to:


  • Providing quality projects that are built on time and within budget.
  • a 300+ unit multifamily team.
  • Reviewing contract documents and notifying upper management of any discrepancies.
  • Building project specific schedules and coordinate work with subcontractors.
  • Conducting preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to ensure all parties agree on timing and scope of work.
  • Meeting with local utility companies to coordinate project services availability or construction needed for new services.
  • Coordinating inspections with local building departments as needed.
  • Conducting weekly jobsite safety meetings with all subcontractors onsite and providing paperwork to home office.
  • Communicating with project management on project material and equipment deliveries.
  • Generating daily logs through company software “Procore” that detail construction progress with photos.
  • Scheduling testing engineers for inspections as needed.
  • Updating upper management weekly on construction progress and issues.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 15 years of superintendent experience preferred.
  • Applicants located in Colorado, with construction experience in Colorado, preferred.
  • Multifamily experience preferred (4-story elevator served and podium product experience desired).
  • Leadership skills and experience required.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • College level education preferred.
