The Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist will report to the Chief of Psychiatry, collaborating closely with other psychiatrists and mental health professionals in the department. This role will oversee a team of mental health clinicians and support staff, working in partnership with pediatricians, social workers, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care.
The inpatient psychiatric unit is designed to accommodate a diverse patient population, offering 10+ beds dedicated to children and adolescents in need of psychiatric care. The team operates in a supportive and collaborative environment, emphasizing family involvement and evidence-based practices. The unit is staffed with exceptional professionals dedicated to fostering a healing atmosphere, ensuring that each child receives tailored treatment and support.
In this role, the Pediatric Inpatient Psychiatrist will focus on providing clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychiatric care. The Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatrist will also mentor and educate junior staff, enhancing clinical competencies within the team. On the administrative side, responsibilities include contributing to departmental policies, managing patient flow, and collaborating with community resources to enhance care delivery.
