Base Hourly Pay/Salary Range: $32.82 – 42.63.


Job Description/General Duties:

• The MRI technologist is responsible for producing quality MR images while providing optimal patient care and applying all principles of patient safety.

• MRI technologists are expected to participate in on-going training and education relating to positioning, technique, and MRI safety guidelines.

• MR procedures are performed at multiple locations across the health system; this person shall maintain a patient-centered focus and strive to support the mission, goals and values of the University of Kansas Health System and radiology department.


If the candidate has used Achieva 1.5 Philips Magnet, that is great. If not, the client would like to know what equipment they have used and what EMR systems. **


Shift/Weekend/On-Call differentials:

• Evening: $3.50

• Nights: $5

• Weekend: $2.25

• Weekend Requirement: Only when on-call.

• On-call Requirement: On-call 10:30 pm-6:30 am / 24 hours during weekends.


The on call is every 5th week.

• Holiday Requirement: Required, rotate with staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate AMA-approved School of Radiologic

• Equipment used: Siemens 1.5 T Sola, Cerner, Unity PACS, Interview PACS

• Preferred Qualifications: at least a year. Confident with pacemakers, busy ER. Level 1 or level 2 trauma would be good.

• License Required: Registered Radiographer (ARRT), Certificates Required: BLS.
