As the IT Manager for Carver State Bank (Savannah, GA), you will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and execution of Information Technology functions, including assisting in the development and implementation of a technology vision and strategy that positions the banking organization to provide a superior customer and user experience, while protecting the organization, its employees, and customers from security risks inherent to the business within the highly regulated environment of the banking industry.


The essential functions of this position will be expected, on a regular basis, to:

·      Designs, implements, and monitors IT governance processes and control environment consistent with best IT practices and banking industry regulatory compliance requirements and expectations.

·      Stays abreast of technology trends, risks, and regulatory changes that relate to the banking industry.

·      Assists with managing vendor relationships, service, and expectations to ensure highest quality of support to the organization in all aspects of operating, administrative and customer systems. Ensure that the organization is receiving an adequate return on investment from vendor relationships, in an efficient and effective manner within budget and vendor management regulatory compliance.

·      Integrates appropriate security and control practices across the enterprise, to mitigate risk for both the organization and the customer.

·      Collaborates with other Support and business units for current and future initiatives, status, upgrades, and system maintenance to ensure effective communication, prioritization, and implementation.

·      Conduct strategic IT planning, annual IT budgeting, performance monitoring, and reporting.

·      Aligns IT Infrastructure, Standards, Baselines, Processes, and Procedures with the organization-wide information security program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected against current, future, internal and external threats.

·      Partners with management and the Information Security Officer to develop, identify, direct, coordinate, evaluate, and report on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements while enabling the organization to develop an anticipatory response to minimize information security risk and breach events.

·      Assists with other duties and special projects as required.


Your knowledge, skills, and abilities as an IT Manager will include:        

·      Demonstrated experience of ten plus (10+) years of IT and systems management within the banking or other financial services industry required.

·      Proven experience developing, maintaining, operating within and managing governance and risk management activities of a federally regulated banking industry IT environment including policies, procedures, internal controls, audits, examinations, risk assessments, change management, business continuity, and vendor management.

·      Knowledge of Internet Protocol, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).

·      Proven knowledge of Active Directory and accompanying services.

·      Proven knowledge of Microsoft 365 for Enterprises.

·      Demonstrated experience as maintained within Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification or similar professional industry certifications preferred.

·      Experience in Project Management methodologies, practices, and disciplines.

·      Experience as a Network Engineer and Network Architect.

·      Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery.

·      Experience with Telecommunications and Data communications.

·      Experience leading hardware infrastructure design, enhancements, and implementation.

·      Experience with Information Security Management within the banking industry.

·      Familiarity with Data Architecture disciplines and management with emphasis on data flow mapping.

·      Expert of overall IT systems and network operations management in the banking industry.

·      Experience in application delivery process.

·      Experience with Core banking systems, services and software management required. Experience with Fiserv Premier core banking system and other common industry ancillary systems strongly preferred.

·      Experience managing and leading IT team in partnership with the Senior IT Specialist/Team Leader. Ability to operate bank software programs and standard office equipment and proficient typing skills.

·      Maintain superior interpersonal skills necessary to relate to and empathize with others.

·      Maintain characteristics including honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

·      Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.


Certifications:

·      A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certifications, VMWare, Cisco, or similar industry certifications preferred.

·      High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma required.

·      Secondary or advanced education within information technology, systems administration or similar disciplines strongly preferred.

·      A minimum of ten (10) years of IT, systems, governance, and management experience within the banking or financial services industry is required.
