We’ve partnered with a leader in customer packaging in Monticello, WI in search of a Training and Development Specialist to join their team. As a Training Specialist, you'll collaborate closely with subject matter experts across all levels of the organization, playing a pivotal role in shaping various aspects of operations. This position offers the opportunity for direct impact and growth within their dynamic company. Your primary objective will be to enhance training initiatives across the company, ensuring alignment with their strategic objectives from onboarding to career progression through their pay-for-performance programs.
This direct-hire opportunity offers full-time hours and does require flexibility to work both 1st and 2nd shifts as needed. Pay is $50K+ per year based on experience plus a comprehensive benefits package is available.
Responsibilities
- Utilize SafetyCulture, an integrated workplace safety, quality, and operations software platform, to manage safety and training.
- Develop engaging training materials such as videos, presentations, tests, and guides to facilitate learning and comprehension of policies and procedures.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and craft content that meets regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Conduct training sessions for employees at all levels and evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and assessments.
- Establish a comprehensive training program utilizing existing resources and implement a feedback and corrective action system.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to HR, safety, and compliance training.
- Maintain and track employee training records, guiding employees and managers on training requirements and resources.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement necessary improvements.
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous learning through effective communication and education efforts.
- Ensure proficiency among employees in using SafetyCulture, Paylocity, and other relevant systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Availability for second-shift work.
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in HR or training support roles.
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS); experience with SafetyCulture is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of HR principles, compliance regulations, and training methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Key attributes: Creative and tenacious mindset, comfortable working with individuals requiring retraining or with limited English proficiency, outgoing and enjoys teaching and content creation.
