Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses or lakes.
  • Optimize data models and database schemas for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Perform performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization to enhance data processing speed.
  • Implement data quality checks, monitor data consistency, and enforce data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide reliable data solutions.
  • Deploy and manage data solutions in Azure Cloud.
  • Write code in languages like SQL, and Python for data processing and automation.
  • Monitor data pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Ensure data security by implementing access controls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Improve current data pipelines and data mappings to ensure effective use of data.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with data modeling and ETL processes is a plus.
