The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and will work closely with the Avantor‘s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: $20.00/HR. - $22.00/HR.

What we‘re looking for

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required

  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service experience is required

  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a customer-facing environment is preferred - relevant background could include material handling, inventory, or customer service

  • Basic Computer Skills: Use of Microsoft Office Applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, etc.), access to required Avantor and/or customer-based systems

  • Must be customer-focused and have demonstrated customer service skills, and interpersonal skills to support various levels of personnel at the customer site.

  • Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task; meet required deadlines

  • Can work both independently and as part of a team

  • Must be able to lift 50Lbs

Avantor‘s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Inventory management includes receiving stockroom orders, 3-point quality check, sorting of materials and delivering to designated areas, dock inventory/organization

  • Executing washing, autoclaving, and tubing assembly, which may include collection, inspection, distribution, data collection of various types of items

  • Accurately record and communicate information to internal and external teams

  • Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures

  • Use inventory management system(s)

  • Perform Safety-focused Operations: Documenting/reporting observations, executing basic safety scope (e.g., eyewash stations, safety showers, extinguisher, ERT carts, etc.)

  • Perform other duties as assigned
