You will develop a deep understanding of controls systems and their integration with plant operations. Responsibilities • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve controls systems (PLCs, HMIs, etc.) to ensure optimal equipment operation and improve uptime and product quality. • Identify and resolve root causes of controls system issues. • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment. • Plan electrical machine improvements, resolve electrical problems, and execute electrical upgrade plans. • Collaborate with other engineering groups to align with plant priorities. • Provide technical guidance, including training documentation, operating procedures, troubleshooting documents, and work instructions. • Offer controls expertise to multi-functional teams as needed. • Update engineering documents and drawings to reflect system changes. • Lead improvements to existing controls systems and ensure alignment with plant and corporate standards. • Follow electrical safety requirements and implement safe practices.
