The position of a HVAC Technician will be available immediately at East Central ISD. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. The deadline for submitting an application is until the position is filled.

POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE: Under general supervision, maintain, repair, and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment throughout the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all HVAC systems in district facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Refrigerant Recovery License (Required)
Valid Texas Driver's license
Texas air conditioning and refrigeration contractor license or technician certification (Class A-endorsement C or E)
Texas HVAC Journeyman's License (Required)
Texas State Contractors Master License (Preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
Ability to operate power-driven equipment, vehicles, hand and power tools
Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
Ability to lift and carry over 50lbs
Ability to read blueprints and diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
Ability to measure and perform mathematical computation
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
Experience:
Experience in skilled HVAC
Experience in the use and care of tools and equipment
