ACCOUNTABILITIES

Fundamental accounting skills required: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations in order to meet all deadlines and perform duties in a timely and accurate manner. Proactive and critical thinker who can identify opportunities for continuous process improvement. Overtime may be required during critical times. Must be a team player.

Activities

  • Review daily bank statements and record daily cash activity in the accounting system
  • Process all overhead accounting invoices and employee expenses in the accounting system
  • Set up weekly payments for all overhead invoices and employee expenses
  • Set up new vendors, maintain W-9 file and process annual 1099's
  • Prepare daily journal entries and monthly G&A accruals
  • Perform monthly G&A analysis to review budget vs actuals
  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and post monthly depreciation
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests

DIMENSION:
  • Works and interacts daily with members of the Finance/Accounting team and other members of the organization to accurately record financial information in the accounting ledger.
  • Works with three companies: Atlantic Trading & Marketing, Inc. (ATMI), Atlantic Trading & Marketing Financial, Inc. (ATMF), Total Atlantic Trading Mexico, S.A. de C.V. (TATM).
  • Business activities include Crude Trading, Products Trading, LPG, Biofuels and Shipping.

Context & Environment

  • Trading company with dynamic operations requiring daily "must-do" responsibilities.
  • Interface with operations and counterparties.
  • Multi-task duties and be able to prioritize responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines
