Key Responsibilities

Project Estimation

As a Civil Estimator, you will:
  • Develop precise cost estimates for civil construction projects related to renewable energy developments.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather essential information for accurate estimations.

Cost Analysis

Your role will involve:
  • Conducting in-depth cost analysis, considering material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Evaluating potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects and incorporating contingencies into estimates.
  • Staying informed about market trends, pricing, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Bid Preparation

You will be responsible for:
  • Preparing and submitting well-organized and professional bid packages according to project requirements and deadlines.
  • Collaborating with the business development team to review bid strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.

Vendor and Subcontractor Relations

Your duties will include:
  • Sourcing and negotiating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to enhance the company's competitiveness.

Proposal Development

Working closely with proposal teams, you will:
  • Develop compelling proposals highlighting our strengths and capabilities.
  • Ensure that proposals align with project specifications and requirements.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry, focusing on renewable energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, including earthwork, drainage, and utilities.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, including HeavyBid, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
