Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Medicaid Eligibility Specialist to join their team in Columbia, MD. This is a contract-to-hire position in a hospital setting.


Job Description:

The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist will screen uninsured patients for potential Medicaid eligibility and assist them in completing required applications and gathering necessary documentation. They will coordinate with government offices to determine program eligibility and maintain accurate records of patient interactions.


Key Responsibilities:

- Screen uninsured patients for Medicaid eligibility

- Assist patients with completing applications and gathering documentation

- Coordinate with government offices to determine program eligibility

- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions


Qualifications:

- Strong customer service skills

- Computer proficiency

- Understanding of community benefits application processes

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays


Additional Details:

- This is a contract-to-hire position with one weekend off per month.

- EPIC software experience is advantageous.
