we are looking for you as a(n) Chemist II/III.


Chemist II/III





Position Overview:




  • Project based lab developments/testing/analysis on defoamer products/formulations for different industries with the primary focus on pulp and paper applications
  • Production and quality support: new product scale up, support during a customer complaint or quality issues of an existing product
  • Supporting the sales process: SF sample request; MAF/MOC, shelf-life extension; scrap request etc.
  • Lab maintenance: Keep lab in a professional manner; set up and maintain testing equipment, upgrade the lab as needed.
  • The Chemist II/III role requires up to 30% travel for customer visits and attending conferences/trade shows.




Requirements:




  • BS required, advanced degree MS and PhD are preferredin organic/polymer chemistry
  • Minimun 1 year of lab synthesis (organic and polymer synthesis) and formulation skills is required
  • Need to have basic knowledge on analytical tools on NMR, GC-MS, SEC, AFM, particle size analyzer, etc.
  • Ability to learn new things quickly, a strong problem-solving and multi-tasking ability is required. Can analyze a technical issue thoroughly and find solution independently or with limited instruction.
  • Ability to see/organize/summarize lab experiments and data into a precise lab report/presentation and draw proper conclusion.
  • Good communication (oral and written) and team collaborations is required.
  • Strong work ethic and self-drive attitude toward high standard is required.
  • Travel up to 30%
