Summary

  • Assist with all functions of development and design. The primary focus will be to learn the codebase, gather testing data and respond to requests from our development team.
  • The candidate should have a good working knowledge of multiple technology systems, such as, (HTML, WOO, Word Press, SEM Rush, PHP/SQL) and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • The ability to work in a team environment and a good attitude is an absolute must.


Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the IT team with all aspects of ecommerce site development and design.
  • Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
  • Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
  • Writing and maintaining code, context, and metrics.
  • Working on minor bug fixes and high degree of quality.
  • Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
  • Responding to requests from the development team and our internal customers.
  • Testing newly developed systems and generating feedback for the rest of the IT team.
  • Gathering information from internal customers about program functionality.


Requirements:

  • Experience developing and maintaining PHP/SQL based back-end systems.
  • Proficient in front end development languages and frameworks. (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap)
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools and project management in order to maintain code integrity.
  • Experience with Magento is a plus.
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Passion for solving problems and writing good, documented code.
  • Ability to connect code to ecommerce results – daily.
