The primary purpose of this job is to provide our customers with fast and friendly service in performing a variety of tasks in a convenient store setting. Tasks related to the different areas of the GIANT To-Go store include customer service, cash register duties, food preparation, stocking and replenishing food and beverage items, gas station duties, general housekeeping and other sales floor-related functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Review work schedule, check the equipment and supplies, and comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
* Provide a fast and friendly shopping experience for all customers and respond to any customer inquiries in a timely fashion.
* When operating as a cashier, scan or enter number into keypad, lift and move goods, make change, bag product, and maintain proper cash level.
* Ensures proper execution of all GIANT To-Go marketing programs.
* Prepare, fill, and rotate food service products including coffee and other self-serve beverages.
* Replenish products and supplies to ensure in-stock conditions always.
* Check-in external and internal vendors according to brand procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness as needed (i.e., cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal).
* Condition aisles, set-up checkout areas, and set-up displays as needed.
* Regularly communicate with assistant store manager of customer experience regarding customer inquiries and vendor concerns.
* Limited duties related to care and maintenance of gas station areas.
* Complete other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
* Must have and maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs
* Job cycles: continual max
* Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
* Stand 55%, Sit 0%, Walk 45%
* Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
* Max pull static: 20 lbs.
