You will also enjoy a generous range of company benefits including paid vacation, medical and retirement plans, and car purchase discounts.General Summary:Under general supervision, responsible for completion of all aspects of the paint preparation process.On as needed basis, responsible for Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II duties.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Complete body repairs, including masking, sanding, and grindingApply primerRemove and replace partsRepair plastic and substrate damagePost-paint refinish and defect correctionEnsure that all vehicles meet CarMax Paint StandardsMaintain, repair, and clean special equipmentEnsure workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standardsProvide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customersComplete duties as assigned by ManagersJob Specifications:Position requires the following pre-requisites and ability:New Associate Orientation Training - OperationsAccountable to Associate 1 Competency ModelKronos Training for Hourly AssociatesMeet Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II and Flow Inventory Associate II Performance StandardsComplete Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, and Senior Reconditioning Associate Workstation CertificationsRead, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records Perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environmentLift objects that weigh as much as 50lbsSpeak and listen effectively in dealing with customers/associates, both in person and over the phoneComplete CarMax provided training in all functional areas of the inventory process, allowing for cross-training and full coverage of the inventory and detail areaWorking Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environments may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time.
