PSPM 5290 Principles & Practices of Agile Project Management

The Fall 2024 semester offering of PSPM 5290 is currently scheduled to run from Aug 27 - Nov 1, 2024.

While this primary intent is to hire for PSPM 5290, we will consider applicants for other courses in the SCPS Project Management Certificate and larger certificate portfolio.

SCPS employs academic faculty who have applicable content expertise at the appropriate level and who provide evidence of recent and/or current professional experience which applies to students’ achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program

This position is for the fall 2024 semester; however, future offering may be either in the fall, spring, and summer academic semesters. Courses are typically 1 0 weeks in length and are offered in an online a synchronous format. Class size averages range from approximately 1 2 -2 4 students. This is a continuing education program that predominantly serves working adult learners.

A s yllab us for the current course exist s . Instructors will be able to adapt the syllabus based on their preference and expertise , provided the current learning outcomes remain the objective. Note: the current practice is this course is delivered asynchronously, without required live full-class meetings. Th at said , instructors are strongly encouraged to host l ive class meetings for the students throughout the semester.

Qualifications: This position is for graduate-level instruction. Relevant expertise is required . A master’s or terminal degree is required , preferably in the teaching area or a a related field ; a Ph.D. or terminal degree in the teaching area or closely related field is preferred . Applicants are required to have at least two agile-specific third-party certifications . In addition, a Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred.

At least 5 years of industry experience in agile roles is required . Previous o nline teaching or training experience is als o required (this includes familiarity with the use of technology in teaching, experience working with adult learners ). S trong written and oral communication skills are highly desirable.
