POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduler/Planner will be detail-oriented and proactive, requiring the coordination of various critical functions within the machine shop to positively impact the company‘s manufacturing needs and ensure efficient operations. This position works closely with procurement, inventory control, machining, assembly, and outside services to ensure all components are available to the assembly team on time, accurately, and completely, working to streamline the build process. The core functions of the position include tactical decision-making and process improvement recommendations related to production plans and the timing of materials in the production process. This position will require an understanding of customer and production priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Utilizing the master schedule, collaborate with departments to coordinate the completion of plans that meet customer needs and internal goals
*Monitors bottlenecks in schedules and works with appropriate departments to remove them
*Reviews routings to determine the proper flow of materials within the department (machine assignments, outside service scheduling, etc.) and assists in balancing out the work between work centers
*Sets priorities for outside services (black oxide, heat treat, etc.) and expedites as necessary
*Creates jobs for fulfilling system demands on the shop floor
*Assists in the correction of ERP information to ensure proper labor hours, routing, and costing information is maintained
*Analyze production data to make informed decisions regarding scheduling adjustments
*Become proficient working within Syteline system.
*All other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
*Associate‘s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, supply chain, or other relevant discipline
*Experience in production planning, scheduling, or analysis within a manufacturing environment is a plus
*Excellent work ethic, the ability to work self-directed, self-motivated, and the desire to advance the organization‘s efficiency
*Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
*Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
*The ability to work in an organized manner in a team environment and present a respectful attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
*Regularly stands and moves throughout the shop
*Regularly utilizes computer and other office equipment
*Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus.
*Occasionally required to lift 25 pounds unassisted
